Auction of 5G and other relevant bands

ANACOM will allocate a maximum of 58 lots of frequencies for the provision of electronic communications services in the frequency bands of 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2.1 GHz, 2.6 GHz and 3.6 GHz, through an auction, considered the most appropriate procedure for this allocation.

This procedure for the allocation of frequencies was prepared with the following underlying objectives in the public interest pursued by ANACOM: the need to promote greater competition in the electronic communications market, helping users obtain the maximum benefit as regards choice, price and quality service, to encourage the effective and efficient use of the spectrum, as well as to promote social and territorial cohesion.
