Performing laboratory tests (conduction and radiation), the radio-electric testing area (RAD) ensures the conformity of radiocommunications equipment (transmitters, receivers and transmitters/receivers), in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of article 4 of Decree-Law no. 57/2017 of 9 Junehttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1416519.
The tests are carried out based on the measuring methods set out in the European harmonised standards, in particular those whose reference and title have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Since some of the characteristics need to be verified while equipment is subjected to extreme temperature conditions, the RAD area also has a chamber to simulate climatic conditions, allowing variations in temperature and relative humidity within the normative parameters.
For information on the testing services provided by this area, please refer to Technical Accreditation Annex no. L0114-1 (IPAC); see a
list of tests covered by flexible scope accreditation; and the general conditions governing provision of services
condições gerais para prestação de serviços.
