To comply with provisions of the new Statutes approved by Decree-Law no. 309/2001 of 7 December, which took force on 6 January 2002, the ICP-Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ICP-ANACOM) has produced for 2002 the first annual report on regulation and supervision, which also covers the Authority’s organisation and the situation of the communications sector.
This executive report’s first part summarises ICP-ANACOM’s regulatory activity in 2002, including its standards, decision-making, supervision, inspection and sanctions components, as well as its consulting and representation activities.
The second part comprises an analysis of the communications sector in Portugal and its recent evolution.
