In 2002 ICP-ANACOM analysed various adhesion contracts submitted by telecommunications service operators to practice their activities, with the aim of ensuring minimum protection for consumers; three were approved. On the other hand, an ICP-ANACOM decision cancelled for abandonment the procedures to approve draft adhesion contracts for the provision of fixed telephone service and for the provision of public use telecommunications services whose processes were pending for more than six months for reasons imputable to the applying companies.
