By determination of 16 December 2009, ANACOM has given approval to the registration and renewal procedures for training entities under the ITED (telecommunications infrastructures in buildings) and ITUR (infrastructures for telecommunications in housing developments, urban settlements and concentrations of buildings) regimes.
The procedures which have now been approved, as well as the programme contents of the short duration training units were established in conjunction with Agência Nacional para a Qualificação (National Qualification Agency) and Direcção-Geral do Emprego e das Relações de Trabalho (Directorate-General of Employment and Labour Relations) under the terms established by Decree-Law No. 123/2009 of 21 May, as amended by Decree-Law 258/2009 of 25 September.
In this respect, the programme contents, which are identical to those set out in the National Catalogue of Qualifications, seek not only to establish qualifying training for ITED and ITUR technicians, but also provide for training to update the knowledge of technicians qualified under the previous legal regime, thereby making a distinction between those who were trained under the previous regime and those who have never undergone any training.
