Consultation on NFAP (2009-2010)

By determination of 23 December 2009, ANACOM has given approval to the draft revision of the National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP), 2009/2010 edition.

Besides some editorial corrections, this new version of the NFAP involves updates to the allocation table to include new decisions from the ECC (Electronic Communications Committee) and EC (European Commission), to the information on the use of frequency bands with reference to 15 July 2009, as well as to the information on the spectrum available to various radiocommunication services and the contents of the annex on equipment using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. Alterations have also been made to the annexes on equipment exempt from licensing and on the amateur and amateur satellite service.

Given the significant impact on the market, it was decided to submit this project to the general consultation procedure provided set out in article 8 of the Law of Electronic Communications, for which procedure a period of 20 working days is provided for interested parties to comment.

Accordingly, comments must be received no later than 28 January 2010 and should preferably be sent by email to consulta.qnaf@anacom.pt. Each email may contain one or more attached files, provided that the total does not exceed 10 megabytes.  Responses containing more than 10 megabytes should be divided into two or more emails. Once the consultation procedure is concluded, the responses received will be published on this website, whereby interested parties should clearly mark any items considered confidential.
