National Agreement on the Sharing of Frequencies in Peacetime - Update

At the end of 2009, approval was given to an update made to the National Agreement on the Sharing of Frequencies in Peacetime, signed by ANACOM and by the Armed Forces General Staff/ Communications and Information Systems Division (EMGFA/DICSI).

This agreement, which has been in place since 1999, required review in light of the amendments made to the Radiocommunications Regulation by the World and Regional Radiocommunications Conferences held under the auspices of the United Telecommunication Union. The update was also needed as a result of bilateral agreements and European decisions on spectrum management made since the agreement first entered into force.

This update entered into force on 16 December 2009.
