ANACOM launches area on website providing Consumer Support

ANACOM is today launching a dedicated area on its website focusing on Consumer Support.

The area has been created with the objective of providing the public in general, and users of communication services in particular, with relevant information on the provision of these services and the associated conditions, including guidelines on actions which can be taken in the event that providers fail to meet their obligations. Details are also given on the role of ANACOM and other relevant bodies in this context.

In the new area, consumers can consult a set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on various communication services to obtain clarification on a number of key issues. Initially, the information provided in this new area will be limited to electronic communications, but will soon be extended to cover postal services Meanwhile, ANACOM’s website continues to provide information in various other areas, each one covering a different theme, and these should also be consulted.

This ongoing initiative represents a further step in ANACOM’s accomplishment of one of the most visible parts of its remit - to ensure a high level of protection for the interests of users of communication services, through the publication of information according to their needs.
