A meeting, in which ANACOM is to participate, took place in Brussels, on preparations for the World Radiocommunications Conference (WRC-07), jointly organised by the European Commission and the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT).
This meeting is fundamental in order to strengthen the main objectives of the European policy in the scope of the WRC-07, in enabling the tracking of what the different views are and in deepening the debate between the responsible European entities on the issues that shall be an integral part of the agenda of the referred conference. This debate, in so far as it shall contribute towards formulating the position of the Commission in the context of the WRC-07, shall subsequently influence the development of CEPT positions and the European Common Proposals (ECPs). The meeting programme includes subjects such as the information society, scientific and environmental issues, transports, and other policy matters related to security and defence aspects.
