The first Portuguese Language Communications Forum was held on 30 April 2010, in Brasilia, focused on the theme “Global Portuguese-speaking Market”. The forum was organised by the Association of Communications and Telecommunications Regulators of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (ARCTEL-CPLP).
This event which saw participation of agents of the telecommunications sector of the CPLP (regulator, operators and civil society), and was split into five panels:
- The Future of Telecommunications – Sectorial and functional convergence: What is the right way forward?;
- The Future of Telecommunications - Sectorial and functional convergence: The priorities of the private sector;
- Regulation of the Portuguese-speaking Telecommunications Market;
- A growing market;
- ITU initiatives for Portuguese-speaking countries.
