The Portuguese Committee of URSI has launched a call for papers in preparation of their fourth Congress, taking place on 23 and 24 September 2010, on the theme ''Personal Radio Communications: short range networks and RFID''. Interested parties may submit original scientific papers, by 2 August 2010, on the central theme or on the defined scientific areas. The selected works will be presented at the Congress.
This initiative aims to promote the dissemination of scientific works and encourage the exchange of experience among researchers, manufacturers and service providers, among others.
The Portuguese Committee of URSI, with sponsorship from ANACOM, will award the ''URSI PORTUGAL Research Prize'', recognising the best research work in the area of radio electricity. Applications may be submitted by 2 August 2010.
The prize, which will be delivered during the Congress, was established in 2009 with the aim of stimulating creativity and rigor in scientific research work in Portugal.
