Slovenian Presidency of EU Council


On 1 January 2008, Slovenia takes over the presidency of the Council of the European Union (UE) from Portugal. The website of the Slovenian Presidency is now online, with a limited version (in Slovenian, English and French) available until 31 December 2007. There is a calendar available with the main meeting scheduled so far, and a range of press services and functionalities, as well as the presidency's logo, along with a description of its meaning.

As far as the communications sector is concerned, three meetings of the Council of Ministers for transport, telecommunications and energy have already been scheduled - 28 February, 7-8 April and 12-13 June 2008.
