The European Commission (EC) has published the responses it received to the consultation launched in July 2007 which sought to identify trade barriers and business opportunities that exist worldwide for Europe's ICT industry.
With this consultation the Commission aims to formulate a more ambitious European strategy for the sector, enabling member countries to explore new markets, increasing competitiveness at a global level and defending the region’s interest at a global scale.
