ANACOM publishes list of reference legislation

On ANACOM has published a list on its website of instruments of reference on electronic communications, which includes laws, regulations and ANACOM determinations, along with an index of the most important measures adopted at a European level. Entitled ''Electronic Communications - Instruments of Reference'', this list is also available to the participants of the Conference ''Regulating Convergence - Converging Regulation'', taking place today at Culturgest in Lisbon.

This publication takes ANACOM further towards its objective of publishing the instruments of reference that govern the activity of sector regulation. This objective is made more pressing by the dynamic evolution that characterises these markets, an evolution marked by significant legislative and regulatory developments, at both a national and European level.

It should be noted that this publication is not meant as an exhaustive list of all sector legislation and decisions applicable in Portugal, a task that would go far beyond the objectives of this initiative. It is intended solely as a means of providing easier access to the fundamental instruments in a systemised form.

This publication is accessible on this website, in both Portuguese and English, and will be updated whenever necessary. As such anyone interested may download or print the complete version or just subsequent updates. ANACOM provides this publication, entirely at its own responsibility, and it does dispense with the need to consult the official version of the instruments that it includes.

Further access to all relevant national and community legislation can be made through ANACOM's website, with access also available to the regulation and determinations of ANACOM, as well as to other useful items on the functioning and development of the market and on the work of regulator.
