The website of the Portuguese presidency of the European Union (EU), which runs from 1 July to 31 December 2007, is now available. The website contains the logo of the Portuguese presidency (a blue flower) and an explanation of its meaning, as well as a range of information about the presidency including scheduled meetings and information about Portugal.
Within the scope of the Portuguese presidency, ANACOM is planning to hold two events of sectoral relevancy: a workshop on mobile television and the ANACOM international conference, scheduled respectively for July and September 2007. Also in the communications sector, the developments in the review of the regulatory framework for electronic communications will be the focus of particular attention, along with the revision of the current postal regulation and the community coordination associated with the World Radiocommunications Conference (WRC-07) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), taking place in Geneva, Switzerland between 22 October and 16 November 2007.
