ANACOM's Chairman discusses regulation role at 16th APDC Congress


The Chairman of ANACOM's Management Board, José Amado da Silva, participates in the session ''Regulation: Competition, Telecommunications and Contents'', which will take place today, on the first day of the 16th  Congress of the Associação Portuguesa para o Desenvolvimento das Comunicações (APDC - Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications), at the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa (Lisbon Congress Centre, in Junqueira). The session starts at 17h00 and will also have the chairmen of the Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC  - Competition Authoriry) and the Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social (ERC  - Regulatory Authprity for Mass Media).

ANACOM's Chairman will also be part of the ''Two visions on Regulation'' session, on 16 November, which will also have Kevin Martin, the Chairman of the United States of America's regulator, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the moderator Aníbal Santos, member of the Management Board of Rede Eléctrica Nacional, S.A..

With the purpose of ''Learning with the world and mobilizing change'', the 16th edition of the Congress of APDC, chaired by Diogo Vasconcelos and ongoing until next Thursday, 16 November, includes several parallel sessions on a range of relevant subjects for the communications sector. Simultaneously ongoing is the ''TIC (ICT) Business Lounge'', which works as a business and new technologies display platform.
