ANACOM has decided to issue titles of renewal of the right of frequency use for the activity of television broadcasting using the analogue system held by SIC - Sociedade Independente de Comunicação and TVI - Televisão Independente.
This decision, approved on 26 October 2006, follows up Determination of 6 July 2006, which submitted the draft versions of the titles of renewal of the rights of frequency use to the previous hearing of interested parties.
The right of frequency use is renewed for a 15 year period, expiring on 22 February 2022, subject to any changes to the National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP), especially further to the setting, under the law, of the date for the switch-off of television broadcasting using the analogue system, which shall result in the recovery of those frequencies by ANACOM.
