ANACOM Management Plan 2007-2009

ANACOM  has announced its Management Plan for 2007-2009, which sets out the Authority’s strategic objectives. These are: to promote competitive and open markets; improve conditions of use for citizens; give impulse to innovation and infrastructure investment; play an active part in the development of the EU’s internal market; and strengthen international cooperation

These strategic objectives stem from the implementation of ANACOM’s mission and strategic vision, led by the regulatory framework, the policies and guidelines of the EU and of the government, as well as by the Authority’s guiding principles.

Operationally, these objectives are broken down into three distinct and independent action goals: to promote competition, investment and innovation; to ensure that the rights of citizens and users are protected and upheld; and to improve the regulator’s efficiency. It is the combined result of the work done in these action areas that will bring about the accomplishment of ANACOM’s mission.

The Management Plan also includes the Resources Plan for the same period, encompassing personnel, investment and finance.

The Advisory Council gave approval to its opinion on the report at its 7th meeting, held on 28 July.
