Clarification on support components service

ANACOM has issued a clarification to PT Comunicações regarding the service of support components, which according to the company will have its scope limited to those local exchanges that constitute interconnection geographic points.

As a result of the queries that have arisen about the scope of this service’s application, ANACOM, on 5 March 2007, clarified that:

a) At no time did this Authority limit the application of the service of support components to the local exchanges that constitute interconnection geographic points (IGP) as identified in the Reference Interconnection Offer (RIO);

b) The scope of the application of the service of support components includes the scope of the application of both the leased lines interconnection service (i.e. building containing a terminating section) and the components for interconnection service (in accordance with the definition set out, at any given time, in the RIO and/or the Leased lines reference offer (LLRO).
