The new National Communications Agency - Agência Nacional das Comunicações (ANAC) has been set up in Cape Verde. Formed in June, it replaces Instituto das Comunicações e das Tecnologias de Informação de Cabo Verde (ICTI).
As well as taking over the technical regulation of Cape Verde's communications, ANAC will also be responsible for sector's economic regulation.
