With effect from the beginning of 2007, support to electronic communication services of public interest will be provided by the ICT Policy Support Programme, part of the 2007-2013 Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP).
Accordingly, the eTEN programme, whose objective was to support the development of electronic communication services of public interest in Europe for an information society without exclusion, is discontinued as of December 2006.
