The European Commission has launched a video contest for young people (15 to 25 years old) on Galileo, Europe's coming global navigation satellite system.
Participants can enter the contest in a group or individually, presenting an original video of 1-3 minutes duration on the use of satellite navigation services and technologies. Videos should be submitted together with a one page explanatory summary describing the idea, process and service proposed.
The winning video, selected by a jury of experts from the European Commission, the Galileo Supervisory Authority and the European Space Agency, will be published on the European commission website.
To enter the competition, send your video proposals by 6 April 2007, in MPEG format, by email to tren-galileo@ec.europa.eu or by post to:
