ANACOM is part of the national delegation to this Summit, which also includes representatives from the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, UMIC - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (Agency for Information Society) and from national enterprises.

The first phase of this Summit took place in 2003, in Geneva, having resulted in the approval of a Declaration of Principles and a Plan of Action.
