Statistical data is now available on broadband internet access in Portugal during the third quarter of 2005.
There were a total of 1,132,000 broadband customers at the end of the third quarter of this year, with a recorded increase in ADSL internet access compared to cable-modem access. While ADSL access recorded quarterly growth of 11.8 percent, cable-modem access grew by only 3.5 percent.
Total broadband penetration reached 10.8 percent, for a 0.8 percentage point increase over the second quarter of 2005.
