Call termination on networks of operators with SMP

Approval was granted, on 26 October 2005, to the decision on the price control of call termination on the public telephone network at a fixed location of notified operators with significant market power (SMP), except for the PT Group companies. At the same time, approval was likewise granted to the report of the hearing of interested parties, following the decision taken on 28 July 2005, which comprises the assessment of contributions received and the corresponding action proposal.

This measure determines that all notified operators holding SMP in the market of call termination on the public telephone network at a fixed location (market 9) who are currently failing to comply with the price control obligation, pursuant to determination of 17 December 2004, should establish and apply a new call termination tariff which complies with that obligation, within a 10-day time limit. Moreover, they shall submit to ANACOM, within a fifteen- working-day period of time, the respective call termination tariff, duly substantiated.
