The UMIC - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (Agency for the Knowledge Society), recently published an Activity Report on its work in the scope of the knowledge and information society since its establishment as a Mission Unit, in November of 2002, until the end of the first half of 2005.
This report shows the state of the art of several projects developed by UMIC during its nearly three years of existence, the most emblematic ones standing out. It is the case with the Citizens Portal, the Online Knowledge Library, the e-U Virtual Campus, the electronic purchases, broadband, the electronic vote, the rationalization of communications, firms dematerialization , interoperability, and digital security, among others.
