ACEP holds 3rd Electronic Commerce Week


The 3rd E-commerce Week is taking place from 4th – 14th May. An initiative set up by The Portuguese E-Commerce Association (ACEP) in partnership with The Knowledge Society Agency (UMIC), the objective of the week is to encourage national debate on e-commerce.

The opening session of the week included the seminar “E-commerce: Impacts and Opportunities for the Portuguese Economy”, which took place on 4 May in the auditorium of the Portuguese Foundation for Communications in Lisbon. Among those attending were the chairpersons of ACEP, UMIC and CTT-Correios de Portugal, as well as Teresa Maury, a member of ANACOM’s board.

The Third E-Commerce Week, brings together a range of other initiatives including the launch of a new guide for companies and a new and improved edition of the consumer guide, the promotion “Win prices buying on the internet” which can be entered through a form available on ACEP’s website:  www.comercioelectronico.pt, and the running of various regional seminars in cooperation with ACEP’s and UMIC’s partners.

- Workshop “Search Marketing – Effective online communication”. 9 May, 9am - 11 am, Hotel Vila Galé Opera, Lisbon

- Seminar “Human Resources Management, E-Learning and Development of Multimedia Content: IT applications for Public Administration. 10 - 11 May, 9am – 5.30pm, auditorium of the Social Services of the Armed Forces, Oeiras;

- Seminar “International E-Commerce: standard framework”, 11 May, 5pm, auditorium Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Beja;

- Seminar “Development in the Digital Era: Communicating with the citizen, Tourism and E-Commerce”, 12 May, 2.30pm – 6pm, auditorium of ENERGAIA, Vila Nova de Gaia.
