The 11th Report on the Implementation of the electronic communications regulatory package, issued by the European Commission on 20 February last, contains important errors regarding a Portuguese operator, Vodafone Portugal, for which ANACOM is not accountable, and which require clarification.
On volume 2 of the Report, on pages 49, 50, and 51, the packages “Total 270” and “Total 30” of the graph inserted therein were commercially interrupted by Vodafone Portugal more than a year ago. Thus, the results that should be taken into account are the ones resulting from “Plano Best”, launched on 12 October 2004. Based on this data, Vodafone Portugal will significantly improve its relative position.
These changes also have impact on the three references made to Portugal on pages 26 and 27 of volume 1 of the 11th Report.
The European Commission was already informed of these errors, and the data on the corresponding Internet site is expected to be corrected at any time.
