By determination of 17 February 2005, the alterations to be introduced by PT Comunicações, within 10 (ten) days, in the Reference Interconnection Offer to be in force for 2005 (RIO 2005) has been approved. These alterations focus in particular on the maximum prices for call termination and origination services, for invoicing, collection and bad debt liability services, as well as on the prices for pre-selection activation and porting per individual number, which are in force as from 1 January 2005. In addition, all references to a restraint in the access to social tariff schemes on the part of PTC clients who wish to use the selection or pre-selection are to be removed from the RIO. PTC shall also introduce alterations as to technical features in the annex.
The report of the prior hearing granted to interested parties on the corresponding draft decision, approved by determination of 30 December 2004, has been approved, and includes observations received from 9 entities: PTC, OniTelecom - Infocomunicações, S.A., SonaeCom SGPS, S.A, Telemilénio - Comunicações, S.A., COLT Telecom Portugal, Radiodifusão Portuguesa S.A., RenTelecom Comunicações S.A., Grupo SGC Telecom (representing Jazztel, Netvoice and WTS) and the Associação dos Operadores de Telecomunicações (APRITEL).
