Approval of CTT's request for deduction of records in the scope of the Quality Convention


By determination of 26 August 2010, ANACOM decided to grant the deduction of records of ordinary mail and priority mail directly affected by the effects of national airspace closures caused by volcanic ash clouds, for the purpose of calculating quality of service indicators (QSI) defined in the Universal Postal Service Quality Convention, of 10 July 2008.

This deduction is limited to the delivery of ordinary mail between 5 and 12 May, inclusively, and of priority mail between 6 and 12 May, inclusively, covering the following mail flows: from the Mainland to the Autonomous Region of the Azores and vice-versa; from the Mainland to the Autonomous Region of Madeira and vice-versa; from the Autonomous Region of the Azores to the Autonomous Region of Madeira and vice-versa; between islands within each Autonomous Region.
