In 2009, the Portuguese Committee of URSI, with sponsorship of ANACOM, instituted the URSI Portugal Research Prize with the goal of encouraging creativity and rigour in scientific research work in Portugal, awarding a prize for the best research work in the area of radio-electricity.
This year’s prize, for which entries closed on 16 August, will be awarded during the 4th Congress of the Committee, being held on the theme “Personal radio communications: short-range networks and RFID” on Thursday and Friday of this week, 23 and 24 September at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações, in Lisbon.
