ANACOM has published new information on its website about the deadlines applicable to the completion of portability requests and compensation due to subscribers whenever such deadlines are not met - see frequently asked question (FAQ) on portability: ''How long does portability take? Can I get compensation from my provider for a delay in portability?''.
ANACOM's aim is to alert users as to the time limit by which a request for portability of mobile telephone services must be completed - three days - and to their right to receive compensation when this time limit is not met.
It is recalled that, in September, ANACOM issued a communication in which it raised its concerns regarding a lack of compliance with the Portability Regulation, in particular in terms of the maximum time of 3 days allowed for the portability of mobile telephone numbers and with regard to the payment of compensation due.
