ANACOM was one of the regulators invited to attend the public hearing on competition and consumer protection regulation, held on 18 November 2010, by the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Affairs, Innovation and Energy, in connection with the operation of the Working Group on Regulation of Competition and Consumer Protection.
The Chairman of ANACOM, José Amado da Silva, spoke at the morning session (10h-13h) on competition regulation, while the administrator, Filipe Boa Baptista attended the afternoon session (15h-18h) on consumer protection.
Remember that this working group, formed at the beginning of the XI Legislature, aims to:
- Assess the operation of the national system on regulation of competition and consumer protection;
- Assess the mechanisms of incorporation of consumer interests in the regulatory activity;
- Assess the operation of the system for resolving consumer disputes.
