The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) recently published a study on how to make purchases safely online. This document had the contribution of ANACOM.
This white paper entitled ''How to shop safely online'' provides a comprehensive view of the definition, history and key factors and trends on online shopping, warning of the risks and threats. They also address issues such as bank and payment services, basic Internet infrastructure of services and online scams. The ENISA document also provides various counter-measures and guidelines to consumers on the form of five golden rules: know the seller, protect your data, know your rights, know what you are buying and be aware.
