Public consultation - National Numbering Plan

To reformulate the principles and criteria for the assignement and management of numbering resources , to adjust the services characterization already available, to analyze the best way to provide access to the emergent services and to put an end to eventual distorted market practices are the purposes underlying the public consultation on the National Numbering Plan (PNN), which National Communications Authority (ANACOM) decided to accomplish.

It is intended, consequently, to guarantee a structured and steady PNN and to characterize in a better way the services, increasing its clarity and simplicity and its informative value to users and providers, according to the new regime applicable to the electronic communications networks and services introduced by Revision 99.

The current National Numbering Plan entered in force at 31 of October 1999, in fulfilment of the Decree-Law no. 415/98, of 31 Decemberhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=49459.
