ANACOM launches its Consumer Portal

The National Communications Authority (ANACOM) launches today, 15th March (World Consumer Rights Day), its Consumer Portal, available at www.anacom-consumidor.comhttps://www.anacom-consumidor.pt/ and also accessible through the institutional page of this Authority (www.anacom.pthttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=2958).

Through this initiative, ANACOM is strengthening its role in the protection of consumer rights, by providing all the information relative to electronic and postal communication services, in an aggregate form.

Relevant data is available on the Consumer Portal regarding: the existing offers on the market, including packages of services; the operators available; what consumers should take into account when choosing a service; what consumers should know about service contracts; specific issues concerning rates, billing, cancellation; how to resolve problems with service providers; and the role of ANACOM and other relevant entities in this context.

With the provision of this portal, ANACOM is now closer to the users, allowing them, through the interactive tool "ANACOM ANSWERS", to raise questions, which ANACOM aims to answer immediately. Likewise, the Consumer Portal also provides a form to present complaints to ANACOM, which seeks to collect, in detail, all the necessary information for the analysis of the problems posed by the users.

With the launch of the Consumer Portal, ANACOM has taken yet another step to fulfilling one of its most important duties – protecting the interests of all users of communications services, by providing the information they need. We hope, therefore, to contribute to ensure that the choices made by users, on a daily basis and regarding communications services, is increasingly clearer and with the best results.

In the context of the commemorations of the World Consumer Rights Day, ANACOM will have an informative area in the "Consumer Tent", an initiative of the Consumer Directorate-General, which will take place in Praça da Figueira, in Lisbon, from 11h to 19h.
