ARCTEL-CPLP meetings


The third General Assembly of the Association of Communications and Telecommunications Regulators of CPLP (ARCTEL-CPLP) is being held in Sintra on 13 and 14 April, bringing together high level representatives of its members: AGER - Agência Geral de Regulação, Sao Tome and Principe; ANAC - Agência Nacional das Comunicações, Cape Verde; ANATEL - Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações, Brazil; ARCOM - Autoridade Reguladora das Comunicações,  East Timor; ARN - Autoridade Reguladora Nacional,  Guinea-Bissau; INACOM - Instituto Angolano das Comunicações, Angola; INCM - Instituto Nacional das Comunicações de Moçambique, Mozambique; and also from ANACOM, as regulatory authority for the sector in Portugal.

Following the General Assembly, on 14 and 15 April, the Lusophone Forum of Communications will take place - the updated version of the programme for the sessions of this event, held at Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval in Sintra, is now available.

On 11 and 12 April 2011, Sintra will also provide a venue for the 14th ordinary meeting of the ANACOM-ANATEL Coordination Commission. At this meeting, the two regulators will discuss issues related to the regulation of competition, network neutrality and security and national broadband plans, as well as relations and international cooperation.
