The 14th ordinary meeting of the Coordination Commission between ANACOM and the Brazilian regulator, ANATEL - Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações do Brasil (Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency), was held on 11 and 12 of April 2011, in Sintra, which was attended by several officials from the regulatory bodies of both countries.
The first item on the agenda was devoted to the discussion of major regulatory actions that occurred in 2010 in each regulator and to the presentation of the main challenges for 2011. Then the work focused on discussions of issues previously identified, including: competition regulation, network - neutrality and security, national plans for broadband access - developments in Portugal and Brazil, international relations and cooperation.
