Alenquer will today become the first area in Portugal to have analogue television switched off.
ANACOM is marking the moment of definitive transition to Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), happening at 11.30am for all those who have their aerials pointed at the Alenquer transmitter, by organising a public meeting which starts at 10.45am.
In addition, ANACOM and Direcção-Geral do Consumidor (Directorate General for the Consumer) will be present in Alenquer on 12,13 and 14 May to help consumers with any questions on the introduction of digital television. They can be found at the town's tourism office.
