The 76th meeting of project team (PT) 21 of the Spectrum Engineering working group (WG SE) was held in the German city of Mainz last 18-19 April.
The gathering's main agenda point was to discuss various contributions on the impact of mobile services (LTE) to implement in the 2.6 GHz band and aeronautic radionavigation in 2700-2900 MHz. Germany also presented a contribution, to be forwarded to working party 1A (WP1A) of study group 1 (SG1) of the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R), in order to review the recommendation ITU-R.SM.1541 on "Unwanted emissions in the out-of-band domain", specifically on a lapse in the formula for calculating bandwidth at -40 dBc for FMCW radars, and also to define spurious decrement, which involve a roll-off of 40dB/decade from the -40 dBc bandwidth.
