At the invitation of the Swiss administration, the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM), project team (PT) 22 of the Frequency Management working group (WG FM) held a meeting on spectrum monitoring last 12-15 April in Montreux, Switzerland. The gathering was attended by 49 delegates from 27 countries.
Among other issues, the agenda covered analysis of results from the questionnaire on aeronautic mobile service interference requested by Eurocontrol; analysis of data gathered by continual automatic monitoring in the HF bands and its consultation via the ECO website; analysis of monitoring the 6 MHz band for WG FM PT46; and especially completion of the report with results from the last measurement campaign in the 863-870 MHz band (short range devices), whose results will enable assessment of its current state of occupation and changes over time since the first measurement campaign in 2009, requested by WG FM and SRD/MG.
The next meeting of this group will be held in Croatia in October 2011.
