DTT - clarification sessions in Nazaré

ANACOM has announced three clarification sessions in Nazaré on the transition to digital terrestrial television (DTT), taking place on 14 June 2011 at the town's Municipal Library (Biblioteca Municipal). The first session (4.30pm) is directed at local Instituições Particulares de Solidariedade Social (Private Institutions of Social Solidarity), the second (5.30pm) at Juntas de Freguesia (Parish councils) with populations covered by the Nazaré relay transmitter and the last at local retailers (6.30pm).

On 13 October 2011, Nazaré, along with parts of Alcobaça, will be the third area of Portugal to have analogue television transmissions switched off.

To assist the local population, ANACOM is distributing a DTT Guide which will help answer queries about the process and explain, in a clear and simple manner, what people need to do to get their homes ready for the arrival of digital television.
