DTT - Cacém switches off analogue TV

At 11.30am yesterday, the analogue television signal serving the area of Agualva-Cacém was switched off, making it the second area in Portugal, after Alenquer, to migrate definitively to digital terrestrial television (DTT). The transition to DTT was marked by a ceremony taking place next to the area’s analogue relay as it was switched off.

In partnership with Direcção-Geral do Consumidor (Directorate General for the Consumer), ANACOM will be operating a public helpdesk today to answer any questions and to help local people resolve any problems they might be having making the change to digital, especially people who didn’t prepare for the migration in advance. The helpdesk will be open between 5pm and 8pm at Agualva’s Junta de Freguesia (Parish Council), Rua António Nunes Sequeira 16, Agualva.
