Decision on the definition of excessive burden and methodology for calculating the net costs of the universal service of electronic communications

By determination of 9 June 2011, ANACOM has approved the final decisions on the definition of excessive burden and on the methodology to be used in calculating the net costs of providing the universal service (US) of electronic communications.

Likewise, approval was given to the report on the prior hearing and on the general consultation procedure to which the respective draft decision of 27 January 2011 was submitted, and in which context responses were received from the following undertakings: AR Telecom - Acessos e Redes de Telecomunicações, Cabovisão - Sociedade de Televisão por Cabo, Onitelecom - Infocomunicações, Optimus - Comunicações, PT Comunicações, Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, Vodafone Portugal and ZON TV Cabo Portugal.
