OECD publishes the Communications Outlook 2011


The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has published its latest outlook for the communications sector in the "OECD Communications Outlook 2011".

This publication focuses on next generation access networks (NGA) and the critical stage of their development, the growth of broadband services and the need for spectrum resources, the imminent exhaustion of addresses based on the IPv4 protocol, as well as regulatory, competition and innovation issues. It also examines different aspects related with broadcasting markets, Internet infrastructure, communication expenditure and use by households and businesses and trends in trade in telecommunications services.
