/ Updated on 19.07.2011

Under the terms of article 183 of Law no. 55-A/2010 of 31 December (2011 State Budget), whereunder state bodies are bound to ensure that their cash management is appropriate to ensure payment to their suppliers in accordance with the payment terms they have agreed, ANACOM is bound, in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 8 of this article, to disclose the situation in respect of the debts it has with its suppliers, as reported on 30 June 2011.

In accordance with this legal framework, ANACOM states that it had no outstanding debts with suppliers, with a period exceeding 60 days, as on 30 June 2010.

ANACOM also reports that CPEC - Comissão de Planeamento de Emergência das Comunicações (Emergency Communications Planning Committee) has neither financial independence nor its own budget, and as such, did not make acquisitions from suppliers.  All of CPEC’s expenses are processed and paid for by ANACOM.  Accordingly, CPEC is not subject to paragraphs 5 and 8 of article 183 of the 2011 State Budget Law.
