Limitation on the number of rights of use of frequencies in the 450 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2.1 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands - closure of consultation

By determination of 13 July 2011, ANACOM has approved the final decision on limiting the number of rights of use of frequencies to be allocated in the 450 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2.1 GHz and 2 6 GHz bands, also giving approval to the definition of the respective allocation procedure.

Approval was likewise given to the report of the general consultation procedure to which the draft decision, approved on 17 March 2011, was submitted and in which context responses were received from the following undertakings: Confederação Portuguesa dos Meios de Comunicação Social (Portuguese Media Confederation), Grupo Portugal Telecom (on behalf of and representing Portugal Telecom, SGPS, PT Comunicações, PT Prime and TMN), Grupo ZON Multimédia (comprising ZON TV Cabo, ZON TV Cabo Madeirense and ZON TV Cabo Açoreana), MobiZAPP, Optimus and Vodafone Portugal.
