Methodology for monitoring and measuring intensity levels of electromagnetic fields resulting from radiocommunications station emissions - draft regulation


By determination of 16 September 2011, ANACOM has approved a draft Regulation on the methodology for monitoring and measuring intensity levels of electromagnetic fields resulting from radiocommunications station emissions.

This draft regulation has been submitted to the respective regulatory consultation procedure, whereby a period of 30 days is given for interested parties to state their positions.

Likewise, opinions were sought from Instituto do Ambiente (Institute for the Environment) and Direcção Geral de Saúde (Directorate General for Health).

As part of the consultation, comments and suggestions should be sent by e-mail to consulta.monitorizacao2012@anacom.pt 1 and must be received no later than 10 November 2011. Once the consultation process is concluded, the responses received will be published; as such, interested parties should submit a separate version of their responses for publication on this website with any confidential items removed.

In order to publicise this decision, ANACOM has arranged notice to this effect to be printed in several media outlets - Diário de Noticias, Jornal de Notícias, Público, Açoriano Oriental and Diário de Notícias da Madeira.
