Television in Nazaré and Alcobaça goes digital today

Analogue television signals will be switched off today, 13 October, throughout Nazaré and in certain parishes of Alcobaça, making this the third area of Portugal to make the definitive switch from analogue television to digital terrestrial television (DTT).

ANACOM is holding a public session from 3pm in Nazaré to mark the transition to DTT occurring at 3.35pm. The session will be held in Praça Sousa Oliveira (Praça dos Cafés) and will be attended by the presidents of the Municipal Councils and by representatives of television stations. The session will also be attended by José Amado da Silva, chairman of ANACOM's Management Board and by Eduardo Cardadeiro, member of the Management Board.
