In November, DECO - Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection) released a further set of results of tests on set-top-boxes for digital television, conducted under the protocol agreed between DECO and ANACOM.
DTT is already available in Alenquer, Cacém and Nazaré, which were the first pilot areas in Portugal to have analogue television switched off - a process which was concluded successfully. On 12 January, analogue television will be switched off throughout the coastal zone of the Portuguese mainland, then on the islands on 22 March and in remaining areas of the national territory on 26 April 2012.
